A blast of a day

On my last week Prof. Dr. Charles Roehr and Lisa came to Oxford. After attending the morning ward round and showing Lisa around in the Hospital, Charles invited us for lunch at Green Templeton College. Central focus of the postgraduate college is the beautiful eighteenth-century Radcliffe Observatory, housing Green Templeton’s Common Room, dining hall and kitchens. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens and typical old fashioned smaller college houses. The atmosphere, history and buildings were lovely. We had a great time, thank you so much @ccroehr for showing us around, the interesting talks and great experience. What a beautiful and addictive atmosphere.

Later, Lisa and I were strolling through Oxford. We visited the beautiful and iconic Pitt Rivers Museum and parts of the Oxford University Museum of Natural History. We enjoyed probably the best hot chocolate and carrot cake in town and climbed the little mound next to Oxford’s Castle, where we enjoyed the sunset with a great view of the city. Thank you Lisa, it’s always great to have you around. Looking forward to catch up again soon!

Later in the day..:
