First day’s done and it’s been so cool.
The day started a bit unusual, as I had to collect my contract quite far from the hospital in the Recruitment Offices. After a very warm welcome from Prof. Charles Roehr, a lift to the hospital and some amazing insights and tips for Oxford I got introduced to the team at the JR Hospital. Prof. Roehr showed me the hospital site and where to get badges from. After that I met amazing Ilia from research team who invited me for a welcome coffee and a nice chat. Lucky me had arrived just in time to listen to an interesting doctor study training, which was basically about current studies and guidance for how to recruit the needed patients the most efficient way. I love how this unit integrates clinical work with current research and trys to educate and integrate the whole team! The whole nine yards of research in my first few hours 💪
