The John Radcliffe Hospital is located in Headington, an eastern suburb of Oxford. As I spend most of my time in this place, I decided to find a flat next by. Unfortunately finding a shared flat with some students didn’t work out for such a short time. From today’s perspective I couldn’t be happier with my current flat. I’m living in an Airbnb, hosted by amazing Linda, who is a former teacher with beautiful grandchildren regularly visiting! She rents out two rooms in her house. Also, I was lucky I got to know my roommate Hale from Turkey. She is a Doctor in Genetics and is also spending an observership in Oxford’s University Hospitals and we enjoyed some good talks, coffee and strolls around Oxford together. In the end of my stay I got to know another lovely person: Tom, a very openminded, interesting and humorous man, who told us breathtaking stories about his life and beautiful family. He is currently working in the Development Department at Oxford University. It's been such a pleasure to meet you! I probably couldn't have imagined a more British host for my stay. I will definitely miss our daily evening conversations- lead by good dry humor, insulting each other’s music taste and being taught about the 4000 different types of green beans- how did I made it here without knowing anything about it?? Thank you Linda for this beautiful experience.
